Through Mind Fart, we'll try to share our personal thoughts and opinions about things you guys probably overthink all the time. You don't ever have to ruminate about those deep thoughts in your head alone anymore, feel free to reach us through our email unsoberpodcast@gmail.com or through any of our social media accounts, and we'll try our best to help lighten your load. We know we're not experts, but sometimes it just takes a couple of friends who would be there to listen so you could somehow find that motivation to continue on that life journey of yours!
For the first-ever episode of the segment, our listener shared about his personal mind fart on feeling stuck in a major life choice he personally made. Right after graduation and passing the board exam for Radiologic Technologists, Kevin went straight to medicine school to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. He is passionate about medicine and doing community medical missions, but now he's starting to doubt if this is even the right journey for him. Is it too late for him to switch to another path? Is it time to quit? Should he stay? Join us as we try to dissect this very interesting and relatable mind fart of his.
Remember: if you wanna fart smart, MIND FART. Pfffftt! (whatever that means)
Ep. 10: Social Media Is the New Battlefield
For the past few years, we all have been witnesses of how social media powerfully took over the entire world. Thanks to a bunch of guys who thought it would be fun to create this seemingly new entity, we now have unlimited access to almost anything we could literally think of-- in just one click!
In this episode, J and Z talk about how the impact of social media in our society constantly changes the world we live in as well. We all thought it was created supposedly to make life easier, but why on Earth is it becoming more and more like a messy battleground every.single.day!?
Time-out muna sa kaka-scroll. Grab a drink, relax, and join us in this new tipsyhan episode of the show! :D
Ep. 9: The Chronicles of Kubeta
Ep. 8: The Long Haul: Am I Going to Be on Diet Forever?
With all the stuff that's been going on around us, staying MOTIVATED every day to achieve our goals is starting to feel like an interminable series of struggles. Either my body clock is too messed up I can't even perform my daily activities, or I'm too stressed out about my personal life I can't even eat healthy!
Drink with us as we return with this brand new episode about staying committed to your personal objectives. We'll be sharing some of the stuff that's been keeping us from being consistent, as well as how we constantly attempt to hold demotivation at bay.
P.S: Remember in Friends when a car backfired and Ross thought someone took a shot at him? SOMETHING SIMILAR HAPPENED TO US WHILE WE WERE RECORDING THIS EPISODE. Listen to this and witness (with your ears lol) how a carnapper interrupted us while we were in the middle of the discussion. Yikes!
Ep. 7: Breaking Out of Gendered Boxes(and Finding Pag-ibig Outside of Them)
As the society becomes more and more inclusive, people are now starting to realize that gender is a lot more fluid than they’ve previously perceived. We’ve all been put in gendered boxes by the society, but how really important is it to break these societal norms? In this episode, our special guests T and A share their own personal stories about how it could be difficult to grow up in a society that has already so much prejudice against an identity you haven’t even figured out yourself yet. What does it mean to take on a journey of finding yourself outside these societal restrictions, and what really is in store for people who choose to break out of them? What role does PAG-IBIG play here?
Don’t forget to fill up your booze cups because this could get a little heavy! :D
Ep. 6: Part II - On Unwonted Shapes of Pag-ibig(and the intricacies that come with them!)
Pag-ibig daw should be unconditional, and you’re supposed to accept love for what it is, warts and all. Have you ever been in a position where you’re made to weigh up the risks and benefits of entering an unusual type of relationship, almost kinda like a catch-22 situation? In this episode, we’ve invited another good friend of ours, RRF. He is a cisgender homosexual male, and he’s pretty batikan as well sa larangan ng pag-ibig!
Warning: Sorry na, part 2 na to kaya tipsy gaming na kami. We hope you’re staying unsober with us because this is a crazy good inuman sesh!
Ep. 6: Part I: Single Since Birth and Ready to Mingle
Earlier this week, we asked you guys to send us in your pesonal pag-ibig quandaries. In this unique episode, we muse over these questions and we share our personal thoughts about them. BUT WAIT...for the first time ever on the show, you’ll hear an unfamiliar voice! Joining us on this Pag-ibig special is our good friend B, who is fresh na fresh (literally and figuratively), matalino, mabait, gwapingz, at walang hit sa NBI, but is also a certified NO JOWA SINCE BIRTH.
Bring your own booze guys, this is an inuman show!
Ep. 5: PUMAPAG-IBIG (pero mga single naman!)
Ep. 4: Dealing With Toxicity in the Workplace
Ep. 3: New Year's Resolution, the Bagungbagong Discussion
Ep. 2: 2020 Takeaways
Ep. 1: Are we frustrated (karaoke) singers!?
In this first ever episode of Unsober With J and Z, we talk about how we met over 4 years ago, and we reminisce some of the most fun memories we’ve shared over that span of time. We were frustrated karaoke singers, how the hell did we end up creating a podcast?
Don’t forget to grab your own drink because this is a drinking show!
